Introduction

The eVLution was created by Viewloder to replace the then standard Revolution. JT has learned from its mistake which was the eVLution 1, and after a multitude of testing have arrived at the newly designed eVLution 2. Its egg-shaped shell and semi-force fed design made its presence prominent on the field. This implementation of flexible paddles and semi-force feeding paved the way for the modern force fed designs. The loader was an excellent addition to hoppers upon its release, and is still a considerable force in the market today.

Initial Impressions

The eVLution 2 comes in a non-reusable plastic casing that is fairly difficult to open. Included in the casing is its instruction manual, and warranty information. Like most hoppers on the market, it does not include the two 9 volt batteries that are required for operation.

The paintball community was well aware of Viewloader/Brass Eagle’s previous design flaws. These flaws included a poorly designed battery door that often broke off. Also, poor neck and lid was a major complaint of failure. There were numerous stories of these components breaking during play. Viewloader/Brass Eagle has claimed to have fixed the problem since then, but we went out to test those claims.
