Packaging:
The Ripper 2.5 Intimidator came sandwiched in between 2 thick foam layers inside the familiar yellow “Bob Long Signature Series” box. Recently, this box was replaced with a box with new age graphics and contour fitting foam. Also included is the Assassins .689 12” barrel, manual, and a sheet of Bob Long Stickers.

Machine Quality:
Sadly, many machine marks were visible in the curves of the milling. This is understandable with the intricacy in the Ripper 2.5 milling, though still disappointing. Nonetheless, the milling is free flowing, amazing, and beautiful. All pieces of the guns lined up perfectly from the factory: eye covers sat flush, no loose or stripped screws, and no apparent scratches caused by mishandling at the factory.

Manuals:
The manual given at the time of purchase was from the old 2002 style of markers, which was a major complaint Recently, Bob Long has included a very detailed instruction manual for the new style of Intimidators. It comes complete with full operation, board instructions, maintenance, assembly and reassembly, troubleshooting, etc. Pictures and thorough text makes the Intimidator manual one of the best in the industry. Consistency:
The vibrant blue color on the Ripper 2.5 was something to dream about. It was smooth throughout, calling for no complaints. Despite extensive testing, the breech still remained with little noticeable wear. From the factory there was a consistent spread of lube on the LPR, Torpedo, and Hammer assembly. Also, membrane buttons worked flawlessly and the eyes were aligned. The LPR and HPR settings were set to working standards, though a little bit of fine tuning was needed for optimal performance.

Warranty:
Bob Long/BLAST guarantees its products against all manufacturing defects for the length of ownership. All electrical parts are warranted for 90 days. Bob Long and BLAST has always done their best to fulfill all customers’ needs when repairing guns. Bob Long offers a lifetime warranty on labor and is usually good about parts as well. If you have a problem with your Intimidator, and can’t fix it yourself then send it to BLAST. It will be a good experience that won’t hurt your wallet. This is a warranty service to count on.

Miscellaneous:
The miscellaneous items included with this marker came out nicely. The hard grips included were stylish and had screen cutouts that lined up perfectly with the boards’ display, yet they are difficult to read through to the LCD under some lighting conditions. A 9 volt battery came preinstalled within the frame. Please note that the gun does not include macro fittings or ASA, which will need to be purchased before use.
